We’ve created this Mother’s Day Box especially for Shelter Movers to help create awareness and raise much-needed funds for this volunteer-powered charitable organization. Shelter Movers provide moving and storage services at no cost to women and children fleeing abuse. Sadly, these last few months have been especially busy.

Dave Kalil is Ottawa’s very own piano man and he has been entertaining audiences for… well, let’s say, many, many years and is best know for his hugely popular stint, the Duelling Pianos! When the pandemic hit, Dave took to Facebook Live with a show called #TakeABreak with a goal of bringing the community together and infusing people’s lives with “live” music. What happened along the way was not planned, it just happened but what a phenomenon it’s become! Dave started raising funds for a variety of local charities and to date he and his producer Erin Benjamin have raised a whooping $83,000!
On Saturday, May 8th, Dave will dedicate his show #TakeABreak to all of the wonderful Mom’s out there. Join us at 7:30pm on Dave Kalil’s Facebook page for fabulous musical entertainment, laughs and help us raise funds for Shelter Movers Ottawa.
